If the thought of getting everyone out the door for photos sounds more exhausting than the photos themselves… welcome to in-home sessions.
In-home sessions are for families who want their photos to feel like their actual life—not like they temporarily moved into a perfectly beige studio. These sessions happen right in the middle of your real world: kids cannonballing onto the bed, babies being rocked, someone asking for a snack every four minutes, and all the wonderfully ordinary moments in between. Especially during newborn season, home is just easier. No packing up the diaper bag with all the millions of things you need for a newborn, no rushing out the door, no pressure to have everything perfectly together while running on two hours of sleep. Instead, you get to stay in your cozy little ecosystem while I quietly document the magic already happening—the baby stretches, the couch cuddles, the forehead kisses, and the way your people naturally fold into each other without even thinking about it.
What makes these sessions different is that they hold onto the details you don’t realize you’ll miss someday. Not just what your family looked like, but what life felt like in this season. The home you paced at 2 a.m. with a newborn. The messy bed everyone piled into on slow mornings. The little ordinary moments that don’t seem important until suddenly they’re everything. Your photos won’t feel stiff or overly polished. They’ll feel warm, lived-in, emotional, and unmistakably you. Like proof that even in the middle of the chaos, your life was beautiful the whole time.
The goal isn’t to create a picture-perfect version of your life. It’s to show you that your life, exactly as it is right now, is already worth remembering.

“I am so happy with the beautiful pictures I recieved from Kristina Graff Photography! I had a certain vision in my mind of what I wanted, and she completely nailed it to a tee. She was very successfully able to see my vision also and direct us into poses and I felt completely comfortable and confident in her and the whole process. She made us feel comfortable and casual which made for the best possible pictures! Lastly, her light, more natural looking photography/editing is, again, exactly what I was looking for. Really she just ticked all the boxes of what I want in my family pictures and I will treasure those photos forever! I will definitely be coming back to her for my next family photos!”

How it Works
Before the Session
Once you submit your session fee to hold your date, you get access to my Welcome Packet which includes FAQs, examples of color combos for outfits, and recommended places to shop. We’ll figure out the best time for lighting at your house, but for most people it’s either mid-morning or mid-afternoon.
A week before the session I’ll reach out with final details on time, and we’ll do a WARDROBE CONSULTATION. Yep, I even help with outfits so you don’t have to second-guess your choices the day of.
During the Session
At your Portland Lifestyle Photography session we take things as they come, we go with the flow, and we have tons of fun together! I have no problem pivoting when a kiddo needs a break, and I’ve got tons of prompts and games up my sleeve to keep you naturally interacting and playing together. We will do a couple of more formal everyone smiling and looking at the camera shots, but besides that we don’t do a lot of sitting still. I like to change it up and do different prompts and games, so even if we’re in one spot for a minute there’s enough variety to keep things moving. Movement truly brings photos to life so don’t worry about wiggly kids!
After the Session
About a week after our full session you’ll get full access to your gallery so that you can keep those memories for years to come. There’s no picking and choosing your favorites-you get to keep them all so you can return to them over and over! Full sessions also come with a $75 print credit which is basically just a built-in excuse to finally get photos framed instead of saying “I’ll do it later” for a year. (Hey, no judgement—I’ve been there!)
Portland lifestyle Petite Sessions start at $350
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Since Portland Lifestyle sessions are usually at home I recommend more of a nice casual vibe-think nice shirts, jeans, and bare feet. If mom wants to wear a more casual dress, I’m all for that too. For newborn sessions I recommend baby be dressed in plain colored onesies with a couple different swaddling blankets.
-
Yes! It’s more about finding the time of day when you’re house gets the best light than having a perfectly decorated area. I promise each house has something to offer.
-
I have an off-camera flash that I use to add just a touch of natural light-think more of a soft glow than an actual flash. It’ll brighten up your area the perfect amount and still look natural.

Really? Anytime. If you want to capture their small newborn days, then I recommend 10-14 days after they’re born. But I’ve also done newborn photos at a month or two when the baby is more awake. Just depends on what you want!
